Turning an Idea Into a Story - And a Story Into a Book (With Award-Winning Children's Author Pat Zietlow Miller): In-Person Event Signup - Children's Book Author Series

Description

Join award-winning children's author Pat Zietlow Miller for this workshop!

This presentation describes how ideas are all around us and how those ideas can become stories and those stories can – maybe – become books after lots of persistence, revision and effort. We’ll also talk about the publishing process for traditionally published picture books and how the author, illustrator and publisher work together to make the books you see in libraries and on bookstore shelves.

Join one or more sessions in this three-part series for educators, parents and aspiring authors. Registration required. For more information and to register, visit: madpl.org/picture-books. This is a collaborative event between the UW-Office of Child Care and Family Resources and the Madison Public Library.
