We Read: Summer Kick Off

We Read is a year-round, all-ages, community wide celebration of all kinds of reading. Your library is here to celebrate with you! We’re kicking off summer with decorating We Read tote bags that you can fill with books from our amazing collection, coloring designs, creating comics, and decorating the library with all the ways that YOU read. These programs are drop in by nature, so come any time during the 2 hour window and stay for 1, 5, or 15 minutes to celebrate. All ages are welcome. 

This program will happen outside the library, but unvaccinated patrons are still encouraged to wear masks. 

Can’t make it today? Don’t worry, you can still grab your tote bag and other fun We Read Materials throughout the summer at your local Madison Public Library, or simply find something to read that you love, share it with a friend or on social media and join in the conversation about reading using the hashtag #WeReadMadison.
