About the artist: Bird Ross has been cultivating 2 + 3-dimensional and time-based work from textiles, paper, thread, ephemera, and her imagination over the years including costumes, lines of clothing, baskets, and puppets. Bird loves teaching folks of all ages about the joys of the mighty sewing machine and emphasizes its great qualities to solve many conundrums. She founded the Mending Project in Madison in 2016, as an initiative of the Sewing Machine Project. Visit her website to learn more: http://www.birdross.com/
