FBC Birding for Families

Take some time to celebrate the birds this Earth Day and join a guided birding outing with the Feminist Bird Club-Madison Chapter. You'll learn birding basics and lots of fun facts about our feathered friends while we wander the beautiful trails of Cherokee South and look for signs of spring migration. No birding experience required! Binoculars will be available to borrow.

Location: This outing will meet at Cherokee Marsh - South Unit. The address is 802 Wheeler Rd, Madison, WI 53704.

Parking: We'll meet at the first parking lot at the intersection of School Rd and Wheeler Rd. If the parking area is full, there is ample nearby street parking.

Accessibility: We'll be walking on mostly flat terrain that has the occasional gentle incline. Trails will be a mix of grass and dirt. It may be muddy depending on spring weather. There are no restrooms at this location.

Space is limited for this event; registration is required. Please use the sign up link below or call (608) 246-4547 to register. Registration opens on April 8 at 9 a.m., two weeks prior to program date.
