Description
Image
A woman in contemporary clothing hand-carding wool

Sheep owner and felter Terry Tackett will talk about raising sheep and shearing their fleece for use in making felt. She will show how raw wool is processed for use in different fiber applications and explain why sheep’s wool felts so easily. Gain an appreciation for the many steps required, from the raw materials to the finished products, for all of the felted artwork on display in the library, April 5 to May 30.

This activity coincides with the Artful Felt at the Library exhibit by the Madison Area Felters’ Guild, April 5 to May 30. Artful Felt at the Library is made possible with support from the Friends of Sequoya.
